If anyone is ever in this area and need a hotel, stop at Best Western Plus Red River Inn. The best staff ever. Hope you are greeted by either Julie or Terry. The best two ladies you could ask for. Very informative of the area and even surrounding towns 3 or 4 hours away that have special attractions. Even though we live in Texas, we had never been in this area but knew of places we would someday visit. Thank goodness for technology, that we could find this hotel so quick. We were both so happy we stayed here. Just one night as a stopover to head home after a weeks vacation and we couldn't have made a better choice. I am telling you, stop at this Best Western, you will not be disappointed. Visit Goodnight, TX, only 17 miles from Clarendon, stop at Buffalo Gold and then right next door you can tour the home of Colonel Charles Goodnight. The movie 'Lonesome Dove' was partly based on his life. In Groom, TX, you can visit 'The Cross of the Lord". Just breathtaking and if by chance you go through Chillicothe, TX, stop at Valley Pecans. I promise you will love all of this. Such a great area and the best people you will come across in a small town atmosphere. My husband and I will be back again.
Also, since I have a dairy allergy, we typically have to buy breakfast independently on road trips, but the staff here was so kind to go to the store specifically to get more almond milk for me when they ran out! I’d asked if they had any dairy free options by chance, so when we discovered that it had been used up, the gentleman even asked if I had a preference on brand before leaving, then brought it straight to me when he returned quickly from the store. So courteous! They really care about their clients!
We have a toddler & baby in our family, so hotel stays are usually difficult, but we’ve had great experiences at this hotel. A good night’s sleep while driving makes the whole trip better!
We’ve stayed here now twice within 4 months & have enjoyed our experience each time! Very clean & quiet facility. Comfortable beds & pillows. Incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast with dairy & gluten free options. Easy in & out on road trips. Well worth your time & money!
Made reservations thru Best Western points. Checked in late. Front desk clerk very friendly and nice. Impressed with this motel. It was very clean and very well kept up. Will stay again if the need arises.
The lady that checked us in was great. The value of the rooms not so great. The place had an old funky smell to it
This hotel is very nice, I would say the best in the area. Super clean, cozy, great beds and pillows. It had everything you could need and a hot breakfast as well.
